I’ve had emotions that swing from one end of the pendulum to the other. I’ve had fear grip me so hard that I became disoriented – as if I’d suddenly been blinded. And yes, I’ve been overcome with joy that made me feel as if I was a butterfly dancing from flower to flower. I can assure you – I’ve also had every emotion in between.
It’s because of those emotions and because of pulling myself through deep, mucky choices that I decided to write Loving Myself First: Overcoming Life’s Obstacles (Past, Present and Future).
The techniques I wrote about in the book were the ones I used or developed to become happier, healthier and more fulfilled with life and within myself. I ask you – are you happy with the person you’ve become? Are you on track with what you want for your future? Do you love your life?
If the answer is no to any of those questions, then it’s time to do something about it. Yes, read the book 🙂 but also take some action steps to get your life and happiness moving in the right direction. Find your passion. The three actions to finding your passion, improving your life, and creating more happiness are:
- Understand. Understand what is you want in life and how you want to feel.
- Feel. What emotions are you feeling, and what triggers those (good and/or bad feelings).
- Believe. Believe in yourself; dream. Dream big dreams, feel good about them and understand that not everyone is going to believe in them or believe you can achieve them. You must believe for yourself.
When you’ve done those three actions, you are ready to brainstorm ideas on how to accomplish the things you want in life. Remember, it’s lots of tiny steps to reach a goal, but you’ll never reach even a small goal without first taking a step.
Life is truly short. There’s never enough time and that’s not going to change. So, make every moment of every minute count!
